Thank you to all of the AFH providers who have contacted their legislators regarding the proposed increase in your bed fees!
Representative Ross Hunter has been sending to those who wrote to him. The WSRCC’s response. We are continuing to lobby, call, write and visit with legislators to request that they demonstrate the value of adult family home providers and the care they provide. Please also keep up the pressure on your legislators and members of the House Appropriations committee.

The proposed House Budget will raise your per bed fee to $325!

The House Appropriations Chair Representative Ross Hunter’s budget proposal is raising your per bed fee to $325!
This would be the fourth biennial budget in a row to increase these fees and would equate to a 3,900% increase since 2009.
Contact your legislators and Representative Hunter TODAY to let them know you do not want this increase to your bed fees!

Senate Bill 5877 - Requires DSHS to commence a hearing no later than 60 days after receiving a request for a hearing from an adult family home regarding a license suspension, stop placement order, or conditions for continuation of a license, unless the parties agree to a delay. This bill was signed into law on May 14, 2015 by Governor Jay Inslee.

House Bill 1132, improving the change of ownership process for adult family homes, was signed into law April 23, 2015 by Governor Jay Inslee.
